Hello!
Based in Bungalow (Gimuy/Cairns), Far North Queensland, The 5Five Presents is an independent arts mechanism that spans artforms, contexts and spaces.
Led by creatives Tegan Koster and Nicholas Mills, The 5Five Presents wear’s a number of hats:
- Creative Producers
- Collective of Creatives
- Music and Visual Art Studio’s
- Small Gallery and Performance Space
Ongoing programs include:
- In/Off Club – new new music
- Mixed Grill – multi art-form extravaganza
- Sub-merge – experimental sound, media and performance
- ByAppointment Artspace – studios, gallery and performance space – launching Dec 2025
- Daintree Residency – ‘artist in residence’ in Daintree – to be trialled in 2026
Recent projects include the multi-art from Mixed Grill that was produced in early 2024 at Bulmba-Ja Arts, and the collective group exhibition ‘other‘ at Northsite Contemporary Arts. In 2025, recent shows include the In/Off new music club at Elixir Music House, and the experimental Sub-Merge event at crate59 as part of Festival Cairns.
The 5Five Presents is currently enabling and developing a number of artists/projects:
- The Pad Boys – Kuranda Djabugay music royalty (thepadboys)
- Tegan Koster Project – ongoing show, and recording development (Tegan Koster)
- AmaJayus – Jay Wymarra’s queer musical comedy (Jay Wymarra)
- The Golden Brown – Blues combo lead by Slim Deal & Greasy Hands Brown
‘By Appointment Artspace’ will officially launch in late 2025.
